Mayon Evacuees Need Your Help

While Mt. Mayon appeared calm and exhibited fewer earthquakes as of 4 July, PHIVOLCS retains Alert Level 5 which means that the residents in the 6-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone and 8-kilometer Extended Danger Zone in the southeast portion of the volcano must remain evacuated.

Given this condition of the volcano, 44,834 individuals (or 9,283 families) from 31 municipalities and cities in Albay continue to stay in 31 evacuation centers. The Corporate Network for Disaster Response, in close coordination with the Provincial Disaster Management Office of Albay, is therefore appealing for the following items:

  • Potable drinking water (bottled water)
  • Puritabs
  • Lime (for open pit toilets)
  • Relief goods (rice, sardines, noodles, sugar, coffee)
  • Medicine

    • Cefalexin Drops Opthalmic Ointment
    • Cefalexin 125 Susp. 30 ml/bot Sulfur Ointment
    • Cefalexin 250 mg. Cap Povidone Iodine Ointment
