MBCs bimonthly international business magazine presenting
comprehensive articles on economic indicators and forecasts,

Report
Staff reports published at least 12
times a year, featuring analytical reviews on policies
and issues regarding the Philippine economy. |

Outlook Survey
MBCs semestral business confidence
survey conducted among members. The survey measures business
opinion and confidence levels in economic, corporate,
and government performance. It also identifies businessmens
perception on pressing issues, important developments,
and national problems. |

Statistics
A compilation of key macroeconomic indicators grouped
into 16 sectors and areas - agriculture, banking, demographics,
economy, environment, governance, industry, information
and communication technology, investments, labor, property,
public finance, tourism, trade, transportation, and utilities. |

Task
Forces
In support of President Arroyos economic agenda
as enunciated in her first State of the Nation Address
on 23 July 2001, the MBC organized in August 2001 six
task forces: housing,
education, ICT (Information and Communications Technology),
agriculture, tax
reforms, and tourism. MBC believes that these are
the areas that government should focus on to facilitate
the development process.

Policy
Speeches
Every month, the Club conducts the MBC Forum to discuss
a critical public policy issue or development. The full
text or summaries of speeches delivered before the MBC
Forum are available through MBCs website www.mbc.com.ph
starting with the 1981 meetings. Since 1981, the MBC has
invited Heads of State, Cabinet Secretaries, Congressional
leaders, Diplomats, and business executives to address
its members. |

Annual
Forecast
The Research and Information Group releases
at year-end an economic forecast for the upcoming year.
This forecast is reviewed at mid-year and the necessary
revisions and updates are made given actual developments
during the first half of the year. Quarterly reports (released
in March and September) are generated in between releases
of forecast in June and December. |

Global Competitiveness
Report
The World
Economic Forums Global Competitiveness
Report is the worlds most authoritative annual
guide to national competitiveness. With 75 countries
being analyzed, the report is useful in making business
decisions based on both current conditions and future
opportunities.
The World Economic Forum is a Swiss-based organization
of leaders from business, government, and the academe
committed to improving the state of the world. MBC has
been WEFs exclusive partner institute in the Philippines
for the preparation of international competitiveness
reports since 1993.

Global Information Technology Report
Since it was first launched in 2001, the Global Information Technology Report has become a valuable and unique benchmarking tool to determine national ICT strengths and weaknesses, and to evaluate progress of countries in this area. The Report remains the most comprehensive and authoritative international assessment of the preparedness of countries to capture the benefits of participating in the networked world. It also highlights the continuing importance of ICT application and development for economic growth.
